So you want some info on old Mr. Nicely?

I have been at Godwin Middle School for ten years, but this will be my fifth year teaching 8th Grade World History.    

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Hard Knocks and Life's Trials and Errors.  O.K., so not really, but there are times when it does feel that way.  I attended the University of Oklahoma, where I studied meteorology, and then moved on to history, where I graduated from George Mason University in 2002.  I am a member of Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society.  At Godwin I am a World History teacher, but I am fascinated by all kinds of history.  In college I studied European history, Russian history, Colonial American history as well as Ancient history. I am also a "home-grown" teacher, meaning I attended and graduated from Prince William County's public school system.

Love and Family

This is my beautiful wife, Lisa, dancing with some handsome and most likely charming, bald guy.  I'm not really sure how or why she puts up with me, but I am definitely happy that she does! 
                

We live in Spotsylvania County, near the city of Fredericksburg, with our psychotic but lovable cat, Vegas.  Oh she looks cute, alright, but trust me.  She's crazy.

      Never be afraid to act a little silly.....

Life is too full of times and places where we are expected to behave like mature people, and maintain a serious attitude.  But you certainly don't have to live your entire life that way.  You'll hold onto your sanity much longer if you have a little silly in your life!
